Carlos Santana had almost five years of interruption in recording work, and returned only in June 1999 when he released Supernatural on Arista Records label. The Santana band album included many tracks co-written by guest stars such as Rob Thomas of matchbox 20, Eric Clapton, Lauryn Hill, and others.
